Jason and I met in July 2018 on a dating app (Hinge). I had this overwhelming feeling before our first date (yes, even before we met in person) that this was my person. We had so much in common right off the bat and our first few dates were perfect. We took things slow to start (he didn’t try to kiss me until date 6!) and really got to know each other. As time went on, we both knew there was something special between us. We made our dating “official” in late August 2018 and the rest was history from there! In our first year of dating we had SO much fun. We traveled to Las Vegas for sight seeing and fun, to Florida for deep sea fishing, and to Cancun for relaxation on the beach. We spent the summer of 2019 on the lake as much as possible fishing and soaking in the sun with family and friends. We both love to play golf and spent many Friday nights on the golf course for date night. We soon became inseparable and both knew this was it!

Jason proposed to me on July 3, 2019. He took us back to where we had our first date and we ordered the same thing we did back then. He then took me down underneath the stone arch bridge in Minneapolis and asked me to marry him. We then spent the weekend with our family and friends celebrating, and it was absolutely perfect! We had the most amazing engagement year growing together, planning our wedding, but most importantly planning our future together.

Our original wedding was planned for June 12, 2020, but COVID had other plans for us. We moved our wedding to September 4, 2020 and we are truly glad that we did looking back on it. We had more time to plan our dream wedding and enjoy the time of being engaged. September 4, 2020 was the most PERFECT day. It was 75 and sunny with no wind or humidity, perfect for pictures and an outdoor wedding! I had the best morning getting ready in the bridal suite at our venue with my mom and bridesmaids. I felt like a real life princess in my wedding dress – I truly picked the dress of my dreams! We had 175 of our family and friends attend and it was a perfectly normal wedding – no masks or social distancing. Our vendors across the board, especially our venue, were incredible. No one missed a beat and the wedding day went so smoothly. I was truly able to enjoy our wedding day and soak in all of the moments. The day was full of love, laughter, and happiness! Our entire wedding day was amazing, but what made it truly magical was having our dance outside. Being able to dance outside on the most clear and perfect night under the stars was breathtakingly beautiful. We wish we could relive our wedding day all over again!

After our wedding, Jason and I went on a honeymoon to Bora Bora which was a dream come true! We spent the week reminiscing our wedding day and making new memories as husband and wife.
Planning our wedding was the easiest and most fun year. The day my mom, aunt, and I went wedding dress shopping is one of my favorite memories. We had such an amazing experience at Bridal Accents Couture, and I knew the moment I walked in the store and met Michelle that I was going to find my dream dress there. I remember showing Michelle “inspiration” wedding dress pictures on my phone from Pinterest, only to find out she actually had some of them in store! The store was absolutely beautiful and the dresses were drop-dead gorgeous. Michelle made us feel so comfortable and truly let us take as much time as we needed to find “the dress”. I remember sitting in the dress that I picked for 30 minutes just because I did not want to take it off. Words cannot express the amazing experience we had with Michelle – it is truly what every bride dreams of when they go wedding dress shopping.
